Initially, this project begins with collaboration at the individual school level. A description of these activities can be found on the Individual Classroom Activities Page.

Once the Individual Classroom Activities are completed, the instructors will form cooperative groups between the schools to create a three school collaborative group. These larger groups will communicate with each other via the kid blog and/or wiki pages. The goal of these inter-school collaborative groups is to share the information that each has learned about their own communities and then determine a connection between each of the three communities to each other.

For example, in each of the three schools there will be a group A, B, C, D, & E. Each instructor will use their own methodologies in order to determine the group members within their classrooms. After the individual classroom collaboration activities are completed, then the groups A's from all three schools will work together for the culminating project. Since this project will ultimately result in a 3 school group, it is advised that the individual classroom groups be comprised of 2-4 students. Therefore, the final inter school collaborative group will have 6 - 12 members working collaboratively on a wiki.

The rubric for this three classroom collaborative project can be found on the Assessments and Rubrics Page.
